LONG AGO AND FAR AWAY
Long ago and far away
I watched a fairy grow day by day
Crimped hair she had her own
With a pure heart she used to own
She lived near a ness,
Where grew watercress
With a mellifluous voice she used to sing
but never demand a meritorious feed
she gained her powers from perennial trees
which were now being ephemeral seize
o! that poor fairy being unbriefed to this
greedy world
where people being pleased by the forlorn of
other beings
greedy men used to come and cut the trees
one by one
time flew day by day and tress vanished by
brae
now o! that poor fairy lost all her dynamism
and got struck in a prism
she lost her mellifluous voice
her wings were awol
and she was getting maul
on her last judgement day
she took a breath and pledged
not to come in this greedy world again
and with the unfledged body
she lie down on the edge and,
again
took a breath
but o! this time the last breath
so, long ago and far away
I watched a fairy grow day by day
